Petiole Asset Management AG is pleased to announce that Pierre-Olivier Pourcelot has joined the firm as Head of Institutional Sales. Latif Kigouk, who has been with the company since its establishment in Switzerland, will take up the role as Head of Client Relationships. Their appointments shall be effective from September 1, 2022, and would form a critical step in the company’s accelerated growth strategy in the DACH region.

Petiole Asset Management CEO Axel Hörger said, "With the company’s ambitious plans for growth, we’re confident with Pierre and Latif’s capabilities for their respective new roles. This will strengthen our strategy by having an effective organizational structure to scale Petiole’s business”.

Pierre will be key in expanding Petiole’s institutional client base through his international network of distribution partners. His wealth of experience in the asset management industry includes previous executive roles, such as Global Head of Sales and Marketing at RAM Active Investments AG, Member of the Executive Committee at RAM AI and Member of the Board of RAM (Europe), CEO / Head of Sales at Robeco (Schweiz) AG. Earlier, he was the Head of Sales - Latin Europe at Swisscanto / ZKB Asset Management for three years and had worked in Equity Sales at Hypovereinsbank / Unicredit Group between 1994-2000.

Latif will lead and deepen the engagement with Petiole’s institutional and private clients across all business lines. Over the last 20 years, Latif has been advising clients in the Middle East and Switzerland. His journey with the Group spans several years, previously as Director of Institutional Solutions at Petiole in Zurich, and earlier as Senior Relationship Manager for UHNWI at The Family Office Co. in the GCC since 2011. As a Relationship Manager, he supervised wealth management activities for high-net-worth clients at UBS in Geneva, where he started his career in 2002.

Pierre shared, "I am honored to work for a Swiss independent asset manager with such a solid 18 years of track record in private debt, private equity and real estate. Institutional investors can gain access to Petiole’s global investment experts to manage their dedicated mandates or funds. On the other hand, distributors such as banks and IFA can outsource part or all of their private assets business, not only on the portfolio management side but also on the technological/reporting side. These solid value propositions made me decide to join Petiole.”

“This is a very exciting time for Petiole and I’m thankful to our clients and management for their continuous trust. I am confident that with our privileged access to private markets, our investment in digitization, and our commitment to always put the client at the center of our business, we will keep growing and delivering a unique client experience,” said Latif.
